Mohan
Ganesan (Raja)

Directed by Manivannan
Mohan is very versatile . He plays all roles easily . Here he is jobless and when he is in the hospital he meets an ailing man who is the son of a rich Thevar in a village . He had run away as he had pushed his friend in water a few years back Now that he is dying , he wanted Mohan to replace him and go to his mother Gandhimati so that she will stop pining for her son.Seeing this opportunity to get a nice life , Mohan goes to the village . Initially they don't belive him but later they do ( (thanx to that friend's tutoring ) . The dead boy's sister Roopini hates him and wishes to kill him.She is fair pretty and also acts well in some scenes but is a mis fit in this Tamiliian village. Clearly she is taken for her lovely frame and some skin show .Slowly she realises Mohan is not the real son and hence is not the culprit .A couple of duets later both fall in love . But Mohan's two sisters have their eyes on him. They wish to get their daughters married to him. Thus follows a lot of fights and accusations . Added to that the real son returns back as he wishes to see his mother before he dies . Gandhimati is on top as a strong Thevar land lady . A difference from the usual whiny crying movie mother .Mohan dances , sings , fights , emotes very well . He is on top as a frustrated jobless youth then a guilty son and brother .
